Artist Combines Nature And Technology In His Latest Sculpture Of Modern-Day Protector

Image
A year ago we  wrote  about some beautiful sculptures by an American artist Garret Kane and now his latest sculpture is fascinating the people all around the internet. Golemecha is the name of the sculpture. It is a combination of two words: Golem – a protector made from mud and sticks from Judaic folklore – and Mecha – a protector made from advanced robotics in the Japanese culture. By combining the terms the author created a modern-day protector, build from nature and technology. The artist used 3D printed pieces, preserved moss, wire mesh, LED lights and many other materials. That letter was very very awesome and sad all at the same time.” To honor her father’s bittersweet gesture, she uploaded his last gift to Twitter where it was retweeted over 350K times and liked by nearly 1,5M people. Image
Did you know that Paris Hilton invented the selfie way back in 2006? No? Well, neither did we, because it’s not true. At all. Still, that didn’t stop the socialite and hotel heiress from announcing on twitter recently that she was apparently the originator of modern society’s most narcissistic past-time. “11 years ago today, Me and Britney invented the selfie!” she wrote alongside some snaps of her and the pop star posing together. But Twitter was quick to shut her down with various examples of people who got there before her, including Frank Sinatra, Joey and Chandler, Mr Bean, and Paul McCartney. Who did it best?
